More than 130 international students from Iran, Russia, Cambodia, Sudan, Kyrgyzstan, Korea and other countries visited the Training Center of ZBVI Biological Food Research Institute on September 20th. They experienced a unforgettable journey of traditional Chinese culture by making mooncakes.
At the beginning of the visiting, A Chinese teacher from International School introduced the origin and customs of the Chinese Mid-autumn Festival. After that, the international students introduced some similar holidays in their countries respectively. The teachers at the Training Center then demonstrated the international students the procedure of making mooncakes. With the help of the teachers, the young students quickly grasped the keys to make dough and fillings of mooncakes, and the ways of wrapping and baking. All the students were amazed by tasting their self-made delicious mooncakes in China. It was such an unforgettable experience for everyone.
For the international students, the visit was a good opportunity not only to experience Chinese traditional culture but to learn Chinese language, local customs and deepen the friendship with local Chinese citizens
